Visitors flock to early lambs

ANIMAL MAGIC . . . two new arrivals have been proving a big hit with residents and visitors at Queensberry Bay Holiday Park, near Powfoot.

Lorretta, a three-year-old Oxford Down ewe, has given birth to twin early lambs which have been named Colin and Dan after two staff members who look after them.

The popular Solway coast destination has a pet's corner with a selection of mostly rescued animals including guinea pigs, rabbits, Shetland Ponies, donkeys and Alpacas.

Lauren Gass, a member of the park administration team, said: "The lambs are doing really well and everyone has been making a big fuss of them. They are real stars."
