Border M-way service station to re-open

A MOTORWAY service station on the border stretch of the M6, which has been closed for several months, is set to re-open.

The filling station and shop at Todhills, in between Carlisle and Gretna, is currently receiving a makeover and the fuel forecourt has been dug up.

Addressing concerns about the service station, which is located between junction 44 and junction 45, a Shell spokesman said: “Shell Carlisle North service station is due to reopen towards the end of February.

“We have been improving this service station as part of our regular maintenance programme and we used the opportunity to improve other facilities, such as the shop, which is why the reopening has been somewhat delayed. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused.”
